That’s why we’re excited to announce the release of a Conga Template Migration Tool: a built-in feature that kickstarts your migration by converting Conga templates into Formstack-compatible ones.
Why We Built It
Customers moving from Conga to Formstack often tell us that setting up document templates in Formstack takes a third of the time they used to spend in Conga. While that time savings is good, we felt we could help save customers even more time.
Since getting started with Formstack still required either recreating templates from scratch or leaning on services to do a manual conversion, we decided to focus on a solution for template migration
The new Conga Template Migration Tool aims to reduce that initial friction by automating the most tedious step: converting your Conga Composer templates into Formstack-compatible formats, with field mappings included.
Built-In for a Seamless Experience
There’s nothing to install. It’s a free tool built directly into the Formstack Documents for Salesforce product to help increase time-to-value and make switching to Formstack even more accessible for teams currently using Conga.
The experience is self-serve and designed to be simple: select templates, convert, and review.

A Quick Note on Scope
The Conga Template Migration Tool handles template conversion and initial field mapping, but it’s not intended to be a full-featured migration of your entire Conga solution. Things like automations, triggers, routing logic, nested tables, or child object relationships will still require manual configuration in Formstack. This gives you the opportunity to review your configurations and optimize.
Think of it as the fastest way to stop staring at a blank page.
